Anne Forgan she/her

Anne Forgan is an artist and creative producer, specialising in developing and delivering projects with communities to explore stories of places and people. She has a particular love of heritage and enjoys investigating overlooked aspects of the everyday. She has led on projects telling stories of Coventry’s ringroad, a slaughterhouse in Stratford upon Avon and a much-loved swimming pool that was about to close. Anne started out as a video maker, teaching skills and devising videos in community settings. She has since worked with various arts organisations across the Midlands to share skills, support creatives and make accessible arts events and experiences. She works across art forms, involving everything from mass tree climbing, Ikea Hacking, to creating a cardboard orchestra with Russian arts collective, Cardboardia. Most recently, Anne worked as the Co-Artistic Director of Ludic Rooms - a socially-engaged arts and technology company in Coventry. In 2021, Ludic Rooms transformed Coventry Canal into a night time art trail of light, projection and sound works as part of Coventry’s City of Culture programme, bringing audiences to a little known area of the city. She is also the Community Coordinator for Playing Out in Canley; a community arts programme in Coventry led by Warwick Arts Centre and has been involved organising three community parades, two outdoor cinema events, arts workshops, a newsletter and a trail of public art works with Assemble architects. Playing Out was recently nominated for the 2024 Museum & Heritage Community Programme of the Year Award.
