At the Bandstand, Funded by Historic England brought Local Residents of the Bandstand at Victoria Embankment together for a 12 week project to delve into the history of the 1937 Art Decor Bandstand.
We celebrated with our Party at the Bandstand on Saturday 14 September, bringing the bandstand back to live through music through the ages, swing dance and community art.
The bandstand archivists produced 4 heritage boards with there research which was displayed at the bandstand. These boards are now at the Libraries, come and see the exhibition and learn more about one of Nottingham's lesser known cultural Landmarks.
The exhibition also includes co-created art by local Artist Woo Sun Choi and the Children at Party at the Bandstand.
