The Local Engagement Producers will work at the heart of Nonsuch Studios’ delivery of Ashfield Creates, working across Ashfield in Nottinghamshire to support the growth in access to and participation with high quality arts, cultural and creative opportunities, activities and events for local residents, artists and communities.
The Local Engagement Producers, made up of two, 0.6 FTE posts, will be key networkers, champions and conveners of the programme, working with communities to develop and unlock their creative potential. This role is likely to involve lots of varied working patterns and will need a degree of flexibility to work with communities at times that best suit their engagement.
As a rough outline, we would imagine that the Local Engagement Producers will spend a third of their time planning, programming and administering their work; another third meeting community groups, artists and local people across Ashfield through networks and activities; and a final third supporting and enabling creative activities and events either in a lead or supporting role.
As this is a new role on a new large-scale project, we’ll be adapting the delivery as we learn how best to facilitate and champion local communities and seek to employ two, Local Engagement Producers to be a part of this exciting journey.
