Nonsuch Studios are looking for a hands-on and motivated leader who wants to get stuck-in implementing the next phase of our growing operations.

The General Manager will work as part of the management team at Nonsuch Studios and will be responsible to the Executive Director, Artistic Director & CEO, and the Board of Trustees. The role will play a critical role in supporting the operational success of Nonsuch Studios (particularly managing projects, teams and company outputs) as we begin delivery of Ashfield Creates, our largest community programme to date, alongside the continued redevelopment and expansion of our Nonsuch Studios core creative and production activities. 

As a rough outline, we would imagine this full time role would be split 50% on operational leadership of the organisation and 50% on project and programme oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Nonsuch Studios across all our work, managing programmes, leading teams and enabling the successful delivery of our work.
  • Manage, inspire and support the Nonsuch Studios team to deliver exceptional projects, programmes & operations, acting as HR lead.
  • Manage the budget, company policies and wider operational responsibilities.
  • Support the Artistic Director & CEO and Executive Director in the long-term development and growth of the business, across fundraising, business development and new opportunities.

  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £32,000 PA
  • Contract: This is an employed role with an 18 month, fixed term contract with the potential to extend or become permanent subject to funding success.
